1 Year Part Time Furniture Design for Beginners Course
QQI Level 5

If you are interested in working with wood and are keen to develop the knowledge and skills for designing and making furniture, then this part-time course is for you. You will learn some of the essential practical skills for design and construction.

The Back to Education Initiative (BTEI)

The Back to Education Initiative (BTEI) provides part-time further education courses for young people and adults. Those in receipt of unemployment payments or means-tested social welfare benefits, holders of medical cards and their dependants are entitled to free tuition. Others will be required to pay the appropriate college fees.

Minimum Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. The course is assisted by the CDETB Foundations Project and is designed to help those who want to move towards full-time education. The course is free to anyone on Social Welfare and does not affect your benefits.

Progression Opportunities

On completion of this course, graduates can apply to continue their study on a number of QQI Level 5 courses in Inchicore College including the full-time level 5 Furniture Design and Making Course.

 

The introduction to Woodwork is new and exciting for me. Learning how to use new tools is challenging but so rewarding.
