This course is delivered over 2 years part-time with 4 modules in each year. Our highly experienced art and design team consists of specialists in drawing, material culture, creative writing, computer aided design, costume design, jewellery design, printmaking, photography, sculpture, furniture making and carpentry.
The focus of this course is on your needs as a creative practitioner, and it will allow you to use the infrastructure of this college to pursue the development of your skills and generate employment and a market for your art and crafts.
With the skills, experience and knowledge of the course team, you will be encouraged to bring your innovation and entrepreneurship to the marketplace using traditional and online selling.
The Back to Education Initiative (BTEI)
The Back to Education Initiative (BTEI) provides part-time further education courses for young people and adults. Those in receipt of unemployment payments or means-tested social welfare benefits, holders of medical cards and their dependants are entitled to free tuition. Others will be required to pay the appropriate college fees.
Course content may be revised for educational or organisational reasons.

QQI Level 4 is recommended entry level.
The course is free to anyone on Social Welfare and does not affect your benefits.
