Health and Wellbeing Week 2025

Our annual Health & Wellbeing week is starting next Monday the 13th of January until Friday the 17th.  

We are happy to tell you that we have a full schedule (see below) of a variety of Health & Wellbeing activities and events throughout the college for the week

Monday 13th              

1.00pm: ‘The 3.30 at Cheltenham’ followed by Q&A/Panel Discussion.  This excellent play is written, performed by and produced by ICFE Theatre Graduates – Main Hall

 

Tuesday 14th  

10.00am:  Personal Trainer L6 students are delivering a Health & Fitness & Mobility Assessment followed by Active Aging Strength & Mobility Workshop specifically for our local community groups organised and supported by South Dublin Sports Development Officer Catherine Flood, (ICFE Sports Coordinator Rachel Donlon and Health Promotion Teacher Andrea McQuillan). (Closed workshop)

11.00am Regulating the Emotions workshop with Evan Dwan (Smart D8), students, room 30. Please RSVP with an email to aideen.lyster@inchicore.cdetb.ie

1.00pm: Talk: ‘Self Care Tools for Care Workers’ by Community & Social Care students’ room 30 (Teacher Lead, Fionnuala Crennan)

 

Wednesday 15th

10.00am: Creative Writing Wellness Workshop by ICFE CW graduate Niamh Brunell, room 26 (Teacher Leads, Gillian Phipps and Colin Carters)

1.00pm: ‘Music Bingo’ (90s theme) by Business & HR6 students, room 26 (Teacher Lead, Jan Challoner)

 

Thursday 16th

11.00am: ‘Connect Café’ by Psychology L 6 students & 4 Pillars of Health talk by Margaret O Brien, (Smart D8), Room 2 (Teacher Lead, Brendan Kavanagh)

12.00pm: ‘Wellness Spa’ by Psychology L6 students, Room1 (Teacher Lead, Brendan Kavanagh)

12.00pm: ‘Health Check’ by Sports Science students, Room 2 (Teacher Lead, Karen Parkinson)

1.00pm: Talk: ‘The Psychology of Addiction’ by Psychology L 6, Room 30, (Teacher Lead, Brendan Kavanagh)

 

Friday 17th                            

10.00am: ‘The Feral Kitchen’: Foraging with Jean, 1 hour workshop by Jean Wallace (www.greengoeswild.com) meet in foyer

11.00am: ‘Sound Baths’ by Simone Meschnig (Smart D8), Room 30, please rsvp via email to aideen.lyster@inchicore.cdetb.ie
