Extensive industry practice coupled with the work experience module will enhance your confidence to enter the work force. Additional courses in Studio Cycling Instruction, Suspension Training Instruction and Kettlebell Instruction equip you with the knowledge and skills to excel your career forward.

Minimum Entry Requirements
QQI Level 5 Award in a related discipline.
ITEC Fitness Instructor Award (Gym Based) is required for entry to ITEC Personal Trainer Award
Equivalent qualifications will be considered.
Mature Applicants
Mature applicants who have relevant industry experience and may not meet the above requirements are welcome to apply.
On successful completion of this course, students can seek employment in the fitness industry as Personal Trainers, Specialist Class Instructors, with the National Governing Bodies or in the area of Sports Development.
QQI 6M5147 Sport, Recreation & Exercise major award may be used to apply to the CAO via the Higher Education Links Scheme to access courses in many Technological Universities.
